AHAT Verifiers – Lapsed members

Only Registered members are covered for AHAT insurance  If they are lapsed then they are not covered for insurance.

They could be joined as a local member again – but a new membership number if the branch wanted to retain them as a verifier, but their class of verifier changed from 1 – to ‘2 –  Non beekeeper willing to be a verifier’. This makes it clear that they are not covered by the BBKA insurance.

The inference in this case is that the local association would not charge them a local membership fee – as all they are ‘joining for’ is for the AH work – but it is entirely up to the branch.
