The links do not expire – unless the member actually uses it and submits the renewal.

 

If you change their status to lapsed, and they then renew then you would be advised in the normal way and can then set them back up again.

 

Prospective new members  who do not actually complete a renewal may be deleted.

The only argument for keeping them as new is that you have them available to send another reminder to – but at some point you will want to stop of course.

The reason for not deleting a record is for insurance purposes – but not relevant in cases where a person has NEVER become a member.
