Membership numbers
- QUESTION: Does BBKA operate exclusively on the membership numbers that appear in ER2 today, or do you still hold and use the “old” numbers?.
- ANSWER: We only use eR2 to check membership numbers. The ‘old’ access database was switched off.
- QUESTION: What aspects of membership privileges would be affected by the mismatches?
- ANSWER: The membership cards were replaced with receipts issued via branch, from eR2 so members need to quote the membership number on their receipt.
- QUESTION: If it became necessary to correct any numbers, would it be better to change a member’s number in ER2 back to the original one that he/she was given, or to stick with the new ER2 “10000 series” of numbers?
- ANSWER: We don’t have a preference other than to say we would recommend you ensure the affected members are informed so that they know which membership number to use when contacting the BBKA/BDI/applying for exams.
- QUESTION: If it was better to revert to the original numbers, could I just do this in ER2, or would that break anything that I might not be aware of?
- ANSWER: You can just revert to the original numbers. Your next couple of Capitations may look a little odd with the numbers being different from the Spring 2020 Capitation and may make an audit check more difficult.
